Over 20 years, Ryo has taught swimming at all levels, but his passion is in coaching competitive swimmers and this was recognised in 2009 with his ASCTA ‘JX Gold Coach of the year award’.
Ryo holds an ASCTA Silver level accreditation, along with Open Water and ‘Coaching Swimmers with a Disability’ accreditations.
Ryo has coached competitive swimmers since 2008 working with junior, age and national performance squads. He has produced both State and National representative swimmers in pool and Open Water categories.
Ryo has been Head Coach at NBSC since 2018.
